Latvian pay-television broadcaster Best4Sport has acquired rights for the German Ice Hockey League (DEL).
The deal will run for the duration of the 2015-16 season. Best4Sport will show a weekly match every Friday and the league’s play-offs.
The deal was brokered on behalf of the DEL by the Sportsman Media Group agency, which has distributed rights to the league since the 2012-13 campaign.
DEL chief executive Gernot Tripcke said: “In Latvia, DEL games will now be reaching a country where ice hockey enjoys incredible popularity.”
