Indian pay-television channel DSport has acquired rights to the PGA Championship golf major.
The long-term rights deal has been struck ahead of the start of this year’s event later today (Thursday) at the Quail Hollow Club in the US state of North Carolina.
The event runs until Sunday and DSport will show live and exclusive coverage across all four days of the tournament.
DSport, which launched in February, is owned by international media and entertainment company Discovery Communications. The channel also holds rights to the US Open and the Open Championship.
India’s Anirban Lahiri (pictured) will be among the 156 golfers competing at this year’s PGA Championship.
