German pay-television broadcaster Sky Deutschland has extended an agreement with the European Handball Federation for rights to its Champions League club competition.
The new three-year deal will cover the 2017-18 to 2019-20 seasons. Sky will continue to serve as the exclusive broadcaster of the competition in Germany and Austria.
Sky began broadcasting the competition during the 2014-15 season. The new deal was brokered by the MP & Silva agency.
In November Sky acquired rights to the German handball league, the Handball-Bundesliga, through a six-year deal that will cover the 2017-18 to 2022-23 seasons.
