Soon-to-be-launched pay-television broadcaster Eleven Sports Network has sealed an agreement in Belgium, Malaysia and Poland with the MP & Silva agency covering various sporting properties.
The rights include football’s top divisions in Italy, France and Scotland – Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Scottish Premiership.
Eleven has also acquired rights for ATP World Tour 250 series men’s tennis tournaments, the Arsenal Media English Premier League football club channel and Italy’s top tier of volleyball.
The lengths of the deals were not revealed. Eleven said it remained in talks with the agency over other properties.
Eleven will launch localised high-definition channels showing more than 2,000 hours of live programming annually. The Eleven channel will be devoted exclusively to football, while the Eleven Sports channel will show other sports. Malaysia will launch an additional third channel dedicated to further football coverage, including the domestic league.
“Not only will we show all matches live, in the highest quality and with great commentary from our local journalists and experts, but we will also constantly interact with the audience,” Eleven group managing director Danny Menken said.
