International pay-television broadcaster Eleven Sports Network has acquired rights in Poland for LaLiga, the brand name for the top two divisions of football in Spain.
The deal will run for three seasons, from 2015-16 to 2017-18. Eleven Sports Network will show live coverage as well as delayed and repeat broadcasts and highlights.
The coverage will be shown across the Eleven and Eleven Sports channels, which are carried on pay-television operator TVN’s OTT platform.
Last week, multiple reports in the country said beIN Media Group had struck a LaLiga deal in Poland for the next three seasons despite not having a presence in the country.
Polish pay-television operator NC Plus previously held the rights in Poland and said it would aim to agree a sublicensing deal with the new rights-holder.
The Mediapro agency is marketing LaLiga’s international rights.
