Eleven Sports picks up NBA rights in Belgium, forges EverSport partnership

International pay-television operator Eleven Sports Network has acquired exclusive rights to North American basketball league the NBA in Belgium, while it has struck a multi-year partnership with US media group EverSport.

Eleven’s NBA deal begins with the 2015-16 season and runs for a multi-year term. Eleven Sports Network will feature four live games per week throughout the regular season and playoffs, all Conference Finals and Finals games, as well as NBA All-Star, repeat primetime broadcasts and highlight shows.

Eleven Sports, the second of the network’s two channels, will showcase NBA games during the 2015-16 season, which starts on October 27. The channel itself launches tomorrow (Saturday) as the 2015-16 Italian Serie A football season commences.

Meanwhile, EverSport.tv will provide live streaming services of Eleven Sports Network’s global content direct to consumers. The live sports streaming portal will stream both the network’s linear channels as well as premium sporting content. The over-the-top live streaming player will be made available to viewers on a monthly or annual basis.
