Digital media content distributor Elta has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights in Chinese Taipei to the 2014 Fifa World Cup football tournament.
The agreement, signed with world football’s governing body, includes a partnership with telecommunications firm ChungHwa Telecom.
Elta TV will broadcast all 64 games from the tournament, which runs from June 12 to July 13 in Brazil, while ChungHwa has secured online streaming rights across mobile devices and computers.
Elta TV is also available through ChungHwa’s multimedia-on-demand cable subscription and video-on-demand services.
