The Asset Ogilvy agency has brokered a rights deal for Spanish club football competition the Copa del Rey with Greek public-service broadcaster ERT.
The agreement covers the remainder of the 2016-17 Copa del Rey season and 2017-18. ERT will broadcast matches up to the semi-final stage.
The deal includes 22 matches per season in total, with ERT to show six matches each from the round of 32, the round of 16 and the quarter-finals, as well as all four semi-final matches.
The Uefa Champions League had hitherto been the only club football competition to receive live, free-to-air coverage in Greece.
Asset Ogilvy has managed the Copa del Rey’s media rights in Greece and Cyprus since 2012.
