International pay-television broadcaster ESPN has extended an exclusive rights deal in Brazil for football’s English Premier League.
The new agreement will run for three years, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
The deal will include live coverage, highlights and a range of support programming.
“They have done an excellent job with Premier League rights, with audiences for our matches growing significantly on ESPN channels in Brazil,” Premier League executive chairman Richard Scudamore said.
ESPN also has rights in Brazil to LaLiga, the top division in Spain, as well as the German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1 and Dutch Eredivisie top flights plus the Europa League European club competition.
