ESPN signs landmark rights pact with the SEC

ESPN has signed a landmark media rights agreement with the Southeastern Conference, gaining exclusive rights to the Power Five conference’s premium football package beginning with the 2024-25 academic year.

The 10-year deal will see ESPN take on rights that are currently held by CBS for what has typically been college football’s most-watched package on television. ESPN already held a different package of game rights with the SEC, and the latest pact also adds an additional eight top men’s basketball games each year.
