US sports broadcaster ESPN is reported to be considering introducing a service whereby it would direct users to other streaming platforms in an effort to position itself as the “TV guide of live sports”.
The Disney-owned broadcaster has held talks with major sports leagues and media partners, according to CNBC, citing people familiar with the matter, about launching a feature on ESPN.com and its free ESPN app that will link users directly to where a live sporting event is streaming.
