Euroleague Basketball sets up rights deals for Eurocup Finals

Euroleague Basketball has agreed rights deals with Turkish commercial broadcaster NTV and French basic-tier sports broadcaster Ma Chaîne Sport for the finale of the 2015-16 season of its Eurocup club competition.

NTVSpor and MCS will broadcast both games of the 2015-16 Eurocup Finals, which will see Turkish team Galatasaray take on French club Strasbourg over two legs tomorrow (Friday) and on April 27.

NTVSpor and MCS join Eurocup partner, pan-regional sports broadcaster Eurosport, as official broadcasters of both games in their territories. With Eurosport as lead broadcaster, the games will be seen in more than 60 countries with a potential audience of 246 million. Eurosport 2's broadcast will reach 51 of those countries in Europe, Asia and Oceania in 19 languages.

Andrea Bassani, Euroleague Basketball’s head of television and new media rights officer, said: “It is a unique opportunity for the fans both in Turkey and France, since both teams are playing the Eurocup Finals for the first time in their history, and we are confident that they will enjoy the best possible experience thanks to NTVSpor and MCS.”
