Eurosport races away with German MotoGP rights – reports

Pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport has agreed a deal for the rights to the MotoGP motorcycling championship in Germany, according to Speedweek.com.

The website, citing sources within MotoGP’s commercial rights-holder Dorna Sports, said Eurosport will replace sports broadcaster Sport1 from the 2015 season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sport1 has held the rights to MotoGP in Germany for the past six years, but its current agreement is due to expire at the end of 2014.
