The International Basketball Federation (Fiba) has announced that it expects record audience figures for the 2013 edition of the EuroBasket competition after achieving new levels of broadcast distribution for the event.
EuroBasket 2013 tips off in Slovenia tomorrow and Fiba said it has secured coverage across 167 countries around the world.
New Fiba partners for the event include Spanish commercial broadcaster Mediaset, commercial broadcaster Antenna TV and pay-television broadcaster OTE TV in Greece, pay-television operator Polsat in Poland, pay-television broadcaster BT Sport in the UK and a combination of public-service broadcaster ARD and the Spox website in Germany.
Fiba said coverage is now virtually complete across Europe with the addition of some countries, through partners such as Dutch pay-television broadcaster Sport1 and Swiss public-service broadcaster RTS.
All games from EuroBasket 2013 will also be available on the LiveBasketball.tv digital platform.
