The International Basketball Federation (Fiba) has extended its rights agreement with Israeli pay-television broadcaster The Sports Channel.
The new five-year deal covers Fiba’s cycle of events from 2017 to 2021.
On the men's side, the agreement covers EuroBasket 2017 – which will include Group B action taking place in Tel Aviv – the 2019 World Cup qualifiers and final round, as well as the 2021 EuroBasket qualifiers and final round.
On the women's side, The Sports Channel will broadcast games from the 2017, 2019 and 2021 editions of EuroBasket Women and the 2018 Women's Basketball World Cup. It will also broadcast the final stages of the Youth World Championships.
The agreement was brokered by Fiba Media, the strategic partnership between the body and digital media specialist Perform.
