Fifa launches World Cup rights sales process in France

Football’s world governing body Fifa has launched the rights sales process in France for the 2018 and 2022 editions of the World Cup national team tournament.

Bids must be submitted by November 9.

The rights include the 2019 Women’s World Cup, which will take place in France, and the 2017 Confederations Cup, the test event ahead of the following year’s World Cup in Russia. The 2022 World Cup will be staged in Qatar.

The rights cover television, IPTV, online, mobile and radio platforms.

Commercial broadcaster TF1 acquired the rights in France for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
