Fijian rugby league secures television exposure

Fijian commercial broadcaster FBC TV has agreed a two-year deal with the Fiji National Rugby League to air live and delayed coverage of its national club competition, according to the Fiji Times newspaper.

The agreement sees the FNRL extend a pre-existing broadcast deal with the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, which has aired radio coverage of matches through its Bula FM platform for the past decade.

FNRL general manager Tomi Finau said the deal will help to expand rugby league’s reach within Fiji, engaging fans living in the country’s interior regions.
