Social media platform Facebook has agreed a deal to stream the Florida Cup, the club football exhibition tournament, across Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America.
The contract for the 2020 tournament includes exclusive live streaming rights to all four Florida Cup matches, except in Colombia, where coverage will be non-exclusive. Pay-television broadcaster Win Sports also holds rights to the competition in Colombia.
Matches will be available on Facebook Watch, along with the Facebook pages of the Florida Cup and the competing clubs. The agreement also includes live streaming of the 5v5 Legends and Fan Fest concert.
The 2020 Florida Cup takes place at Exploria Stadium in the US city of Orlando from January 15-18. It will feature Campeonato Brasileiro Série A duo Corinthians and Palmeiras, along with Colombian Categoría Primera A club Atlético Nacional and Major League Soccer team New York City FC.
Rights in Brazil are held by SporTV, the cable and satellite pay-TV broadcaster. Qatar-based pay-television broadcaster beIN Media Group last month renewed and expanded its rights deal with a 37-territory agreement.
