Russian sports media platform Match TV has acquired rights to the Formula E electric car-racing championship.
Match TV’s Match! Arena television channel will show highlights of each of the six remaining races of the 2015-16 Formula E season. The Russian ePrix, which takes place in the capital city of Moscow on June 4, will also be broadcast live on the channel.
“We aim to promote the series to a new audience and this deal ensures more fans can engage with Formula E around the world,” Ali Russell, director of media communications at Formula E, said.
The 2015-16 Formula E season began in October and its remaining events take in Mexico, USA, France and Germany before Russia hosts the penultimate event on June 4. The season concludes in London, England with a double-header on July 2-3.
