US broadcaster Fox has renewed its deal with Concacaf, the governing body of football in North and Central America and the Caribbean, for rights to the federation’s Champions League club competition and the biennial Gold Cup international tournament, until 2016.
The renewal, a four-year agreement which includes four seasons of the Champions League – 2012-13 to 2015-16 – and the 2013 and 2015 Gold Cups, grants Fox the exclusive English-language rights to both competitions in the US.
Fox will show live coverage from the competitions on its Fox Soccer and Fox Soccer Plus pay-television channels, with live streaming also available on the Fox Soccer 2Go broadband service. It will also provide highlights and on-demand coverage.
