Australian pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports has acquired the rights to the 2013 Fifa Club World Cup football tournament, which gets underway in Morocco next month.
The competition will run from December 11-21 and Fox Sports will broadcast live, uninterrupted coverage of all eight matches, including the final.
The seven-team tournament, which was first contested in 2000 and has been held each year since 2005, features the club champions from each of Fifa’s six continental confederations along with the host nation’s national champion.
Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande is representing Australia’s Asian Football Confederation region, having defeated FC Seoul in the AFC Champions League final earlier this month.
