Pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports Latin America has struck a multi-year media rights deal with Pachuca and extended a rights deal with rival Mexican football club León.
The multi-year deal with Pachuca will begin with the 2014 Apertura league campaign. The length of the agreement with León was not disclosed.
The deal with Pachuca includes exclusive television rights and non-exclusive online rights for all local matches played by the team.
Following the new deals Fox Sports will offer live coverage of one game from the Liga MX and Copa MX competitions every week in Mexico as well as in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa via its international portfolio of channels.
Fox Sports will also show a weekly magazine programme, ‘Tuzoccer,’ dedicated to Pachuca.
