Pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports has acquired rights in the Netherlands for a variety of Spanish football rights.
The deal includes coverage of Spain national team home friendly matches, the Spanish Supercopa match between the winners of the previous season’s Copa del Rey knockout competition and the top-tier Liga, and the final of the Copa del Rey.
The rights will run for four years, from 2014-15 to 2017-18, and will start with the Spain v Germany friendly match on November 18.
The Spain friendly matches, the Supercopa and the Copa del Rey are operated by the RFEF, the sport’s governing body in the country.
