Australian pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports has acquired rights for the 2018 Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament.
Fox Sports will show live coverage of every match from the tournament.
As part of the deal, pay-television operator Foxtel’s streaming service, Foxtel Now, will also offer coverage of the competition. Fox Sports is exclusively available on Foxtel.
Earlier this month, OTT operator YuppTV acquired exclusive digital and television rights in a host of markets to the 2018 season of the IPL.
YuppTV sublicensed the rights from pay-television broadcaster Star India, the global television and digital rights partner of the IPL. YuppTV acquired exclusive rights in continental Europe, South America and countries in Southeast Asia, along with non-exclusive rights in Australia.
The 2018 season will begin on April 8.
