Australian pay-television broadcaster Foxtel will show its international cricket coverage in 4K resolution, starting in October.
Subscribers will be able to watch the Australian men’s one-day internationals, Twenty20 contests and home Test matches in the format, as well as a number of domestic Big Bash League matches.
The 4K coverage will be rolled out to other sports in the near future.
“Innovation is in Foxtel’s DNA and we have continuously redefined entertainment for Australia putting us at the centre of connecting subscribers with the sports and the shows they love,” Foxtel chief executive Patrick Delany said.
