FuboTV bolsters content with One World Sports deal

US OTT service FuboTV has agreed a carriage deal with North American sports broadcaster One World Sports.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. One World Sports programming now available to FuboTV subscribers includes England and Wales Cricket Board matches, new US rugby union league Pro Rugby, ice hockey’s IIHF World Championships and Kontinental Hockey League, and content from the Chinese Basketball Association.

One World Sports also features exclusive football club channel programming from Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus, a game of the week from the North American Soccer League and all New York Cosmos home and away games.

In March, FuboTV raised $15m (€13m) in a Series B funding round led by investments from European pay-television broadcast group Sky and US media company 21st Century Fox.

FuboTV said that it intended to use the funds to expand its sports-dedicated streaming video service and develop new features in order to increase its subscriber base.
