Full Play agency executives hand themselves in to authorities

Hugo and Mariano Jinkis, who have been accused of corruption in relation to the sale of rights surrounding certain football matches and tournaments in the Americas in their roles as controlling principals of the Full Play agency, handed themselves in to Argentinian authorities on Thursday.

The duo were named in last month’s indictment from the US Department of Justice, which claimed that Hugo and his son, Mariano, linked up with fellow Argentinian Alejandro Burzaco in the scandal.

“They have presented themselves to the authorities, in line with the law," Hugo Jinkis' lawyer Jorge Anzorreguy said.

Argentinian news agency DyN said that the individuals were taken to a police station in Buenos Aires after turning themselves in at a local court.

The US has been seeking the extradition of several individuals from certain countries in relation to the investigation.
