GSRM’s Donnari: 1190 Sports merger a sponsorship, advertising play

The merger of Global Sports Rights Management, the international broadcast rights-holder to Brazil’s top two football leagues, with the Chile-based 1190 Sports agency was driven by a move to “unlock” sponsorship and advertising revenues, according to Hernán Donnari, chief executive at the entity.

GSRM’s Hernán Donnari told SportBusiness that 1190 Sports’ involvement in the sponsorship and advertising sales space was the main reason for the move as the company looks to maximise the visibility offered through broadcast deals for both the Brasileirão and the Argentinian top league.
