Major sports rights-holders and broadcasters have signed a letter urging the European Commission to take a tougher stance on the illegal piracy of sports content.

The letter, which has been seen by the Politico website, makes a renewed call for pirated live sport to be taken down immediately and blocked before the live sports event terminates. It is signed by 108 organisations.
