The IMG Media agency has struck a deal to distribute global media rights for the seven-match ‘Road to Brazil’ series ahead of the 2014 Fifa World Cup in the country.
The agency also said that it is managing the host broadcast services for the matches.
IMG Media, which struck the deal with Soccer United Marketing, the North American commercial organisation that operates the series in the US.
IMG has agreed rights deals in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia, and has brokered a domestic rights deal in the US with pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports.
The series will start with Honduras v Turkey on May 29. The series will also feature Spain, El Salvador, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Ivory Coast and Nigeria, which are also preparing for the World Cup.
