The IMG Media agency has been appointed by the Jordan Football Association, the sport’s national governing body in the country, to market the international broadcast rights to the national team’s games.
The two-year deal starts immediately and will run until the next edition of the quadrennial Asian Cup national team competition, which takes place in Australia in January 2015.
IMG will distribute the rights to Jordan’s qualifying matches for the tournament against Oman and Syria, as well as a number of international friendly fixtures.
It is the first time that the governing body has appointed an agency to sell the rights on an international basis.
The governing body will continue to sell domestic rights.
