The Football Association, the sport’s governing body in England, has renewed its partnership with London-based production company Input Media.
Input will continue as the FA’s broadcast production partner under a new three-season contract that will run from 2018-19 to 2020-21. The company is currently operating under a five-season deal that was due to expire at the end of the current 2017-18 campaign.
Input Media will continue to provide a range of production and technical services to the FA, including live programming for international rights-holders, live match coverage and fast-turnaround highlights shows of each round of the FA Cup club competition.
Input Media will also continue to produce its FA Cup Saturday Super-feed featuring several live games for international broadcasters, along with a substantial increase of social and promotional content to support the tournament. The new contract means Input will have served as the FA’s partner for 13 consecutive years.
Tom Gracey, the FA’s senior broadcast manager, said: “At a time of significant change in the broadcast world, their record of delivering live and post produced coverage has evolved from merely producing linear television feeds for us to now producing hundreds of hours of clipped and digitised content for our international markets.
“Our new agreement will ensure that our international broadcast of the Emirates FA Cup continues to be of the highest standard and we look forward to working with Input Media on further ways to enhance the product for our licensees.”
