The International Paralympic Committee has appointed the IMG agency as its exclusive worldwide archive partner.
IMG Replay, the archive service run by IMG, will market more than 8,000 hours of clips and programming, dating back to the 1960 summer Paralympics in Rome, Italy.
The agreement will run for four years and cover archive content collected at the upcoming 2018 winter Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang, Korea, and the 2020 summer Games in Tokyo, Japan.
The deal will also cover the World and European Championships for other select sports governed by the IPC.
Alexis Schaefer, commercial and marketing director for the IPC, said: “Ever since the hugely successful London 2012 Paralympics, we have seen an exponential growth in the number of broadcasters and commercial organisations looking to utilise archive footage of Para sport.”
IMG Replay currently holds over 400,000 hours of archive sports coverage, including content from the International Olympic Committee, as well as football’s English Premier League and golf’s European Tour.
