The International Tennis Federation has appointed Tim Stemp as its new executive director for commercial.
Stemp will take up the position in early 2017. He will lead the ITF’s commercial department, which focuses on the body’s television and sponsorship portfolio.
Stemp joins the ITF from the Infront Sports & Media agency, where he served as an associate director.
He previously worked for the Lagardère Sports agency as managing director of UK events, and as the chief commercial officer of the World Triathlon Series.
Stemp said: “The ITF has a wide range of commercial properties, led by its flagship team competitions, Davis Cup and Fed Cup by BNP Paribas, that all offer an opportunity for growth. Development is at the heart of the ITF’s plans for the future, so we will also be exploring ways of generating more income that can be invested back into the game.”
