UK commercial broadcaster ITV has reached a deal to broadcast Premiership Rugby highlights for the next four years.
The renewed agreement guarantees coverage of English rugby union’s top club competition on terrestrial television until the end of the 2016-17 season.
ITV’s highlights show will air three times over every Premiership and LV=Cup weekend, with a regular 8pm Sunday evening slot on digital channel ITV4 followed by a run on ITV at around 11pm that evening.
The contract complements Premiership Rugby's deal with pay-television broadcaster BT Sport, which will show exclusive live action of the league from 2013-14 to 2016-17.
