UK commercial broadcaster ITV has acquired rights for highlights of the 2015 Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
ITV will show highlights of every England match at the One-Day International tournament, which begins on February 14.
Media regulator Ofcom added that highlights of England’s matches, including the fixture against Scotland, would be shown on ITV’s main channel, following a joint proposal from ITV and pay-television broadcaster Sky, which will provide live coverage of the tournament.
ITV’s main channel will also show highlights of the semi-final and final, while coverage of other fixtures, including Scotland’s matches, will be shown on digital channel ITV4.
ITV’s highlights will be shown at 10pm UK time and will last between 60 and 90 minutes, according to Ofcom’s consultation document.
