The Perform Content division of digital media company DAZN Group has struck a five-season extension to its partnership with LaLiga, the organising body of the top two divisions of Spanish football.
The contract, which runs from 2018-19 to 2022-23, sees Perform Content remain LaLiga’s official betting video streaming provider outside of Spain, Andorra and the Mena region. Perform Content said it also represents another key component of its US-cleared video portfolio for betting.
The agreement covers 848 matches per season across the top-tier LaLiga, second-tier Segunda Division and the play-off fixtures that determine promotion to the top division.
Andrew Ashenden, chief commercial officer of Perform Content, said: “LaLiga have been a great partner in recognising our track record of video innovation, and we both aspire to continue enhancing the video experience with new features to deepen viewer connection to the game, its teams and players.
“Recent initiatives like custom audio commentaries, provision of deep player statistics and data analytics are prime examples of how we create a more immersive video experience for bettors, and we are excited about what will come next for them from our extended partnership.”
