LaLigaSportsTV, the OTT platform of Spanish football’s LaLiga, has acquired rights to this year’s Pan American Games multi-sport event, which officially gets underway on Friday in Lima, Peru.
The Games will run until August 11 and serve as a qualifying event for next year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Spanish news agency EFE reported that LaLigaSportsTV would show the Games worldwide, with the exception of the Americas and Turkey. Coverage will include live action and round-up shows.
This year’s Games are set to be contested by 6,700 athletes across 61 disciplines in 39 sports.
LaLiga announced last week that LaLigaSportsTV will provide coverage of a range of pre-season football matches this summer, including action from the International Champions Cup and Europa League qualifying matches.
