Online sports broadcaster Laola1.tv, a subsidiary of the Sportsman Media Group, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Handball Liga Austria, the top division of the sport in the country.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but from the 2015-16 season Laola1.tv will broadcast Liga games on Friday evenings at 7.30pm.
The games will be live streamed via a dedicated HLA-Channel for access over the internet through PCs, notebooks, mobile devices and smart televisions.
The deal with Laola1.tv is designed to complement the Liga’s existing rights agreement with Austrian public-service broadcaster ORF, which is set to broadcast six regular season games this season.
