French digital-terrestrial-television channel L’Equipe 21 has acquired live rights for this week’s Uefa Europa League play-off first leg match between French team Saint-Etienne and Danish team Esbjerg.
L’Equipe 21 has acquired exclusive rights for the game in Denmark that kicks off at 7pm on Thursday.
Earlier this month the channel acquired rights in a separate one-game deal for the Uefa Champions League third qualifying round second leg between Swiss team Grasshoppers Zurich and French club Olympique Lyonnais on August 6. The match generated L’Equipe 21’s largest ever audience, with an average of just over 700,000 viewers.
