Chris Liddell has been appointed as the new chief financial officer at the WME-IMG agency.
Liddell has more than 30 years of finance and operations experience, having previously served as vice-chairman and chief financial officer of car maker General Motors and senior vice-president and chief financial officer of software company Microsoft.
He also served as director of the New Zealand Rugby Union and governor of the New Zealand Sports Foundation.
“The newly combined company occupies an outstanding position in the global sports and entertainment industries, and I’m looking forward to helping build and grow the business,” Liddell said.
IMG struck a deal to be acquired by entertainment agency William Morris Endeavor and private equity company Silver Lake Partners in December.
