Major League Soccer launches YouTube channel

Soccer United Marketing, the commercial arm of US football league Major League Soccer, launched KickTV, an online channel exclusively available on video-sharing website YouTube.

KickTV is a joint alliance between SUM, content production company Bedrocket Media Ventures and YouTube’s owner Google.

KickTV’s content will include magazine shows, including shows focusing on the English Premier League and the Uefa Champions League, and archive matches.

“We see a great opportunity on the YouTube platform,” Chris Schlosser, general manager of the league’s MLS Digital division, said. “This is an opportunity to think about content differently.”
