Free-to-air broadcaster Maori TV has acquired rights for the 2014 ANZ Championship, the top-tier netball tournament in Australia and New Zealand.
Maori TV, which acquired the rights in a sublicensing deal with pay-television broadcaster Sky New Zealand, will exploit the rights on its free-to-air channel Te Reo from March 4.
In a first for New Zealand television, the Maori-language channel will show delayed coverage of one game from each round of the 17-week competition, including the finals, on Tuesday nights at 8.30pm.
Te Reo launched in 2008.
