Spanish commercial broadcaster Mediaset has acquired rights to national team football tournament the 2017 Uefa European Under-21 Championship.
This year’s event will be held in Poland from June 16-30 and Mediaset will broadcast all games live across its television channels and the Mitele.es platform. Mediaset agreed the deal with European football’s governing body, Uefa.
Spain won the competition in 1986, 1998, 2011 and 2013. It will be hoping to make amends this year having failed to qualify for the last edition, which was held in the Czech Republic in 2015 and won by Sweden.
