US pay-television broadcaster AXS TV has acquired rights for events staged by the Resurrection Fighting Alliance mixed martial arts series.
The deal between the broadcaster and the series will start immediately and run until at least the end of 2013, and will include live coverage of up to 10 events.
“I am honoured and excited to be in business with AXS TV and to have this national television deal in place for 2013,” Ed Soares, the president of the series, said. “I’m already so far ahead of where I wanted to be at this time – we have plans to do up to 10 fights this year – and with this major TV deal in place, I think we have established that Resurrection Fighting Alliance offers aspiring athletes tough competition in fights that reach a national audience.”
