Pay-television channel Motorvision TV has expanded its global reach by launching on six additional platforms in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Dubai-based pay-television provider My-HC has struck a distribution agreement to offer Motorvision TV as part of its ‘My Maghreb’ and ‘My Arab’ packages in a number of countries across the Middle East and Africa.
The deal covers Algeria, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the UAE and Yemen.
The Vodafone telecommunications company’s Home TV service has agreed a deal to offer the channel in Greece, while Cypriot pay-television broadcaster CyTA will now offer Motorvision TV as part of its ‘Sport Plus’ package.
In Romania, customers of telco UPC will be able to access the channel. The agreement runs alongside an existing distribution deal with Orange TV in the country.
Motorvision TV has also agreed a distribution deal with Zabava TO in Croatia, as well as with Nigeria-based Suburban Fibre Company’s triple play ‘Legend’ service.
Raimund Köhler, chief executive of Motorvision Group, said: “All of these new and extended agreements show that there is a high demand for our linear Motorvision TV channel – not only from new market entrants, but also from established local market platform players and large operators.”
