MP & Silva forms Brussels office

The MP & Silva agency has opened a new office in Brussels to service its contract as the worldwide media adviser to the Belgian Pro League, the top division of football in the country.

MP & Silva in February signed a six-year deal, from 2014-15 to 2019-20, with the league. Under the deal, the agency is seeking to develop and implement commercial strategies in relation to sales of media rights and coordinate under the league’s authority the production and technical services to be provided by prospective licensees.

MP & Silva chief executive Andrea Radrizzani said he is confident that the Pro League has strong global potential, adding that negotiations are already underway with potential new rights holders.

“It's an interesting competition that can anchor further in Belgium and across borders can still grow,” Radrizzani said, according to the Sport.be website. “Long term there will be more money flow to the clubs. Negotiations are now very busy and I'm confident when I compare it with the situation in the (English) Premier League, (Italy’s) Serie A, the Copa America , the (German) Bundesliga and so on. We have 18 offices throughout the world, but now we have one in the capital of Europe.”
