The MP & Silva agency agreed a three-year deal, from 2012 to 2014, with Brazilian media group Globo to distribute the rights in selected European and Asian territories for the Brazilian football league Campeonato Série A, and the Campeonato Paulista, São Paulo’s state championship.
The markets covered by the agreement are: France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar.
The deal covers rights on all broadcast platforms, including free-to-air and pay-television, IPTV, mobile and internet. MP & Silva will also sell rights for the weekly magazine programme FootBrazil.
The Campeonato Paulista runs from January to April, while the Campeonato Série A takes place between May and December.
