Kickboxing series Glory has appointed the MP & Silva agency to distribute its media rights in North and South America.
Glory is currently shown in the United States by sports broadcaster ESPN, with the Fight Network holding rights in Canada.
Brazilian sports broadcaster Esporte Interativo and on-demand service Combate also showcase the series. Additional exposure is provided by UFC Fight Pass, the subscription-based streaming service of mixed martial arts promotion the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
MP & Silva will seek to expand Glory’s presence in the Americas through the partnership, the length of which was not disclosed.
Glory currently produces regular fight card content, as well as ‘best of’ and ‘rewind’ shows and shoulder programming such as Inside Glory.
“As we continue to grow as a mainstream sports property, our presence and footprint in the Americas is a major area of focus,” Glory chief executive Jon Franklin said. “Our event calendar already includes visits to major US markets like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles and we are planning expansion into Canada and South America in the near future.
“The goal is to marry our can’t-miss live events with expansive broadcast coverage in these territories and we believe MP & Silva is best suited to make that happen.”
