The MP & Silva agency has been appointed by football’s world governing body Fifa to serve as the exclusive sales representative for the 2018 and 2022 World Cup media rights in Italy.
The agency will manage the distribution of live and highlights rights to all matches during the 2018 tournament in Russia and the 2022 competition in Qatar plus the Confederations Cup warm-up events in 2017 and 2021.
MP & Silva is already Fifa’s media rights distribution partner in Oceania and Vietnam for the 2014 World Cup, which will take place in Brazil next year.
“MP & Silva has done a great job in leading the distribution of international football content in Europe and other world regions and they are clearly the best partner we could select to distribute the media rights for the FIFA World Cups 2018 and 2022 in Italy,” Fifa’s TV director, Niclas Ericson, said.
